That's what I have to say 15 minutes after getting back from school after my first week of teaching. These 6th graders are giving me a run for my money, but apparently I rock at behavior management. :-) So now I'm going to do what all good teachers do on a Friday afternoon--hello, happy hour! ;-P

Hey Congratulations. Yes, they lied. Someone ought to punch them in the mouth.
Who said that? I thought it was common knowledge that teaching children especially is aggravating, irritating, annoying, and everything in between.
Dealing with kids is never easy. Best of luck to you!
Hi All,
Sorry it took me so long to respond; my schedule is crazy!
Apparently, there's a rumor (somewhere) that teaching is easy because you only work until 3 each day and you get summers off. "Ha!" is all I have to say to that. :-)
I'm very busy right now, but my kids are so incredible (and funny!). I'm going to miss them a lot when I go back to the Bay.
Somebody said teaching was easy?
I'm glad you like your job. Miss you online, but I understand you're very busy. :)
I taught for a short time, and I taught both private and public school. I could handle the private school children. They behaved better. The public school children...ummmm. Let's just say, I won't do that again, ever. Teaching isn't for me. The pay sucks, and you do more than just teaching. I found my niche in healthcare research...better pay, less stress, and it's easier to tell an adult "screw you" than a child.
Integratedmemoirs,
Haha, I know some teachers who definitely get their point across without actually saying "screw you"--crazy eyes FTW! :-)
