That's actually the start of the academic pledge we had to say at my elementary school when I was in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. How fitting that I should remember the words on the same day I got hired as a 2nd grade bilingual teacher in the East Bay. I'm so excited to become a teacher. That's all. :-)
Today is a New Day, a New Beginning...

Congratulations!!! But 2nd grade? Those kiddos can make you old and grey before your time.
Congratulations Jasmin!!!!! I am so excited for you. I know that you are going to be super busy but i still hope that you can drop a post or two when ever you get a chance so that all of your readers can stay updated!!!
Bests.
Alee,
Thanks! I'm hoping that my 2nd graders will keep me energetic. :-)
Anonymous,
Thanks! I am planning on starting another blog just to talk about teaching (this plan is tentative, however), so please let me know who you are in the comments so that I can send you the link.
This sounds great! Second grader sin the US are about 7 year old, right? (That's first grade in my country).
They can be quite energetic, but I think they're still in the curious age when learning is considered (somewhat) fun.
