So I'm Ready to Start Blogging about Teaching....

...But I cannot figure out a blog title! I've cycled through variations on "Head of the Class" (at one point I think I had a reference to a bus in there), "They Call Me Profesora" (since I'm teaching a bilingual class), and some play on the word "lengua" (which means "tongue" and "language" in Spanish, and I don't have anything catchy. I have a t-shirt with a great (modified) quote by George Washington Carver--Education is the key to unlocking the golden gate of freedom--and I've looked to it for inspiration, but to no avail. For now, I'll share some tidbits of my teacher training here when I get a chance this weekend. Right now I'm teaching 7th grade Language Arts, and this lesson-planning process is no joke! :-P But I've met some really great people (including a good number of fellow natural women with awesome hairstyles), and I'm learning a lot. Hopefully by this weekend I'll be able to say more about what my summer school (coincidentally, named after George Washington Carver) is like.
